When Pake married William Danga, she already had a son, Thany, and together they trekked back to Ethiopia (for the third time) in 1992. Thany here describes the journey, how he was hungry and cried, how they ate wild foods - the wild potatoes gave  you a sore throat. They also met elephants on the way (War and Survival, p. 185).
